Kelowna, B.C. -  For those who haven't yet enjoyed lazy beach days at the lake, wine tours, hiking adventures, shopping sprees, or sun-soaked family fun, has it really even been a summer? The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) is here to remind vacationers that few experiences are as delightful, transformative, and rejuvenating as spending time in this stunning part of British Columbia.

The Thompson Okanagan wants to further inspire travellers to start the adventure with ideas, itineraries, and planning tools to help make the most of the final weeks of summer. Even better, the regional tourism organization is hosting a HUGE contest—featuring 10 prizes of $1,000 and some other great giveaways!

The Travel NOW to the Thompson Okanagan - On Us contest really delivers. Snap and share a photo of a vacation to the region - whether a local looking to staycation or a visitor staying in the region, enter the contest and be in the running to win one of ten $1,000 cash prizes towards a 2024 trip. Full contest details here.

“‘Travel NOW to the Thompson Okanagan - On Us!’ is all about having fun, exploring, and supporting our local tourism businesses,” says TOTA CEO, Ellen Walker-Matthews. “We can’t wait to see British Columbians, Albertans, locals and our friends south of the border enjoying all the incredible experiences our region has to offer and we’re so sure visitors will love it - we want to help fund the adventure. ”

With so many awesome summer days ahead - the only hard part is choosing which adventure to have.

The Thompson Okanagan is a region composed of diverse landscapes, from tall mountains and rolling hills to roaring waterfalls, free-flowing rivers, peaceful lakes, a dry desert-like climate, and a temperate rainforest. There’s quaint and quirky villages, vibrant Indigenous communities, and urban centres brimming with summer sights, sounds, and flavours.
